Yup works well! Do a search on "anchor sight" and "no peep" you will find some info here.

I recommend for setup leave your peep in until you get the Anchor Sight fine tuned....then remove it.

Been using that system since I got into archery in 1996..... Can't see myself ever going back to a peep.... Too many advantages with the No-peep / Anchor Sight....

Default Carbon Overdrive

I just bought my Carbon Overdrive this year and absolutely love it. Quick and quiet! Nice solid backwall, light, and seems very easy to hold at full draw without wanting to creep forward. I bought mine from Swamp Donkey outdoors. Best price hands down. A lot of people will talk about JimBow's and I agree that the guys and service there are excellent...but they can't touch the price from Swamp Donkey. (just my opinion)

Ever shot with no kinds of peep at all...easier than you think...some can shoot as well without all the hassles...I personally dont use anything but three strong anchor points...my release hand tucked into my jaw..a Komfort Kiss kisser button...and string close to my face...

RH shooter looks to the right of string...LH looks to the left side...you can not see strings or cable when shooting...Just the X

Very accurate with practice, rules in low light or fast action hunting...but not for everyone!!

Costs nothing to try

I don't know about that Neil. It cost me an arrow lol.
I'm shooting better without the peep than I was with, so I launched my first arrow at 80 yards and discovered the bottom of the sight housing is more like a 90 yard "pin"

To the OP, my first ever attempt at 70 was 3 inches high of bullseye. Pulled the arrow then shot 3 arrows with a group of about 5 or 6 inch circle around bullseye. I had to use the top of my bubble level as my pin too. I've heard and read great things about the anchor sight, but you can start practicing without a peep before you get one too. Might even help you establish your anchor points better before you put it on

I've used the anchorsight for years. Have it mounted to inside of arm a spot hogg it custom 7 pin...had machinest make simple bracket and thread so it went from bow to bow easy. But it's a 15oz set up. Going to give the iq sight this year...it's 9 oz and does same thing so seems a more hunter friendly all in one. Iq sight must have been reading my posts back in the day as they even copied my pin set up...7 pin...all green except red for the middle pin. So will have more to say after a season but so far I like it. Nice to see a smaller anchorsight. I prefer it mounted to the sight itself so if I don't end up staying with iq I will use the new anchorsight and mount it to a lighter fixed pin like a cbe sniper pro....with help of a machinest again.

Good stuff, I think you will like the Anchor sight. I've been using mine for years now, and think its great. Since I'm cross-dominant and can't shoot with both eyes open, it maximizes my field of view to not have the peep in there.

Default Anchor Sight

I switched to an Anchor sight about 6 months ago and couldn't be happier. This is a 40 yard group shot today. Accuracy has remained as good as when I used a peep.

Here's one like yours, except mine has a no-peep. It's a 2014 model. I just did the final tune after changing the string and cables. In preparation for hunting season. The octane threads are junk, really.

It is a nice bow! Really hard to maintain the tune with octane string set, and the initial set-up can be a real bear because of the tremendous amount of bottom cam lean! Once you get it nailed down though it is a real sweet shooter and is an uber-light hunting rig. I'm sure you will like it, and Carson and Dave know what these need to function properly so going to them was a great choice!

I shot this bow today on our outdoor 3d loop and it worked fairly good. I came out with 240 on 24 targets with 8-x's, 12-10's and 4-8's. I do feel that by not using a peep sight I give up some accuracy though. Earlier in the week I had my Hoyt Nitrum Turbo out (this one has a peep in it) and shot the same course and the results were better. 14-x's, 8-10's and 2-8's for a total of 250/240 on the same 24 targets.

Again, enjoy your bow, it is a very good one, I know I sure enjoy mine!

Norm

For sure Neil, and believe me, I get that. I have only started using a peep sight in the last couple of years. The previous 18 or 20 that I hunted with a bow I did not use a peep sight. I'm only saying that in my case, to obtain the best accuracy I am currently capable of I will use a peep sight. Fwiw, on the overdrive I won't put one on since it's a "run and gun" high mobility set-up.

Maybe in your case I should have said ...it doesnt matter where in the "X" you hit em...we know how much you hate em...hahaha!

Agreed anything that makes you the best of your abilitys and skill for bowhunting is a huge asset!!!

Im not anti-peep...it just doesnt assit me ..Im as good or bad without it lol.. so dont use one...but if it helps a shooters accurcy I agree by all means use one!!

Neil
