Default neat way to ABSOLUTELY lower the crime rate

Venezuela had their biggest drop in severe crimes and murders in the last 2 decades thanks to massive migration of military age males of that country....

not what you expected is it?

Sending our prisoners to the lowest bid country would really cut our crime rate. 2yrs plus off to China, Mexico, whatever the lowest bid is. Costs us air fare and 5 bucks a day? Bet they won't want to go back to crime.

If one had the appetite for it, the crime rate could be lowered quickly and easily.

Exactly, if you really want to lower the crime rate, it can be done, but you really have to want to lower the crime rate.

How about we try treating those who commit crimes as criminals - seemed to have some success with that in the past.

That isn't the woke way , criminals are treated as victims, with no consideration for the real victims. And if the real victims use force to resist the criminals, then they are treated as criminals. And that is why the situation has deteriorated to the state that it is at now.

An old fellow told me just bring back the lash. Repeat offenders will be a thing of the past.

"mentally unfit to stand trial"

"cannot be named under the Youth Ciminal Justice Act"

"given credit for time served in custody"

Rescinding all 3 would be a good start, and continue from there.

Yep, an acquaintance of mine got 10 lashes and it changed his behaviour permanently. That was in 1967. The lash was abolished in 1968 so he may have been the last guy to be lashed. He was damned sure he didn’t want another one.

Trojan horse. How government take rule over the citizens. Likely the plan for North America with all new young male immigrants. Not many women. Yeah I won’t be donating my rifles to the government anytime soon. No wonder they push to defund the police. The want there own army, who have no ties to North America.

My grandfather said the very same. 3 lash sentence, administer 1, and wait in fear for the next 2, never on a schedule. Very few reoffenders.

I always thought they should build a prison on Akpatok Island in Ungava
Food drop by herc with parachute and sled twice a month
Let the prisoners run it
No need for guards or fences - plenty of polar bears - run away if you feel like it

In all seriousness though - max security - anywhere in the high arctic - plenty of disincentive to breaking out, not possible in winter and the mosquitos (plus bears, wolves and what have you) would pretty much take care of anyone making a run for it in the summer, and plenty of disincentive to ever going back

Drop firewood in winter along with candles for the dark periods. A good cheap way to deal with murderers, rapists and child molesters . Add in anyone with a third criminal conviction. Make people fear being convicted.

All sanctions were lifted on them by Biden ,so now there in the USA and many heading into Canada. Cartels ,Iranian prisoners you name it something like 18 million from around the globe inside the USA and many heading into Alberta and BC to avoid going back if Trump wins .

Biden wanted oil so he sold us all out taking there criminals along with who known's what from everyone who hates them ,one small problem were getting a pile. Lots here already just waiting for the worst wave of crime like we never seen. Rather do a deal with the devil then by Canadian oil , from the guy who got 80 million votes .

Trump slept with a hooker before being president ,Biden screwed the whole of North America and not once pulling his pants down, now that's pure magic.

Neat deal giving them to the USA ,worst deal ever made . Store robberies are sky high so we will pay for that also . Maybe Canada would like them since it's such a neat deal

Cheers

These military age men are still committing crimes, they just aren't committing them in Venezuela.

The three strikes rule is so common sense. If one can't figure it out the first couple mistakes, fair dinkum, now you can spend a long time with meager food & shelter to see if that helps

How about these two clowns. They need a bit of their own medicine.

https://edmonton.ctvnews.ca/14-year-...ions-1.6840302

Unprovoked attacks on Edmontons ultra safe LRT system!,

Respect has gone right down the drain. These two will get a slap on the wrist, when they should get a baton to the head.

And yet I hear people whining when they are convicted for a third time in states where they have a three strike rule. They whine that they only made a simple mistake, totaly ignoring the first two convictions.

China had a 100 years of shame basically from British mafia government forcing sale of opium. Now the liberals saying America getting Chinese drugs serves them right. Woke crowd don't know difference between American and British. But anyway chairman Mow cleaned up China's druggies. He didn't export them either but I agree with others on here. Let's export our druggies or outsource our rehabilitation system to Brazil and when they get out if they come back to Alberta let's charge them for what it cost us to send them to rehabilitation in Brazil in the first place so they won't want to come back and if some French lawyer says its unconstitutional then let's deport him to and draw up a new constitution.
Problem solved

Being that the death penalty is final, the law should include a clause that anyone that withholds or tampers with evidence, where a person is put to death, needs to face the death penalty themselves. That needs to include police and prosecutor's .

If you believe that many Prosecutor's are corrupt, then it certainly could.

All criminals win an all expense paid trip to Saudi Arabia, China and Iran. Their free carry on luggage with a kilo of coke sewn in.

Unfortunately the authorities were anonymously notified of their arrival.

Seeing how much crookedness and corruption is in every level of government, there is no way in hell those bastards should have the authority to kill people.

Prosecutor's and police sometimes do crooked things to get convictions and close cases, but having to put their own lives on the line to execute someone, would make most of them reconsider. After a few were executed for tampering with evidence, the rest would likely not take the chance.
