Default Red Deer River update

Me and my buddy went to Red Deer River twice in the last 2 weeks and been very unlucky. Water was muddy and full. We got absolutely nothing but Mosquitoes bites. I guess I will never go there after heavy rain and thunderstorm. Any suggestions on when to go?

My buddy drove me so I have no idea exactly where I was. We drove into a dirt road near a small town close to Drumheller (there's a saloon close by) and we fished on the right side of a bridge. There's graffiti on the wall that said F the Police LOL.

I was jinxed at that spot. Been there twice and my buddy kept telling me it's an ideal place for almost any fish in Alberta. All I got was mosquitoes bites! LOL. I am heading to Travers again next time.
