I got a sweet halibut spot if you want LOL
For the most part I find every kayak has a flaw. I've had my pedal crank arm strip on my PDL drive but it was replaced under warranty. (made of aluminium) This is a common problem. The good part is after warranty is done the crank arm can be purchased from any pedal bike store for dirt cheap in other materials.
My PDL has required some form of maintance or lube. (lots of saltwater usage)
Keep in mind Jackson pedal systems and hobies also squeek if not maintained.
Oldtown is also very good with honoring the lifetime warranty on the hull. if you sit down and it cracks under your seat. They will send you a whole new hull without the PDL. You must be the origional owner. (register the kayak)
My jackson kayak cracked under my butt and it was out of warranty.
As for hobie they went down hill after they got bought out by a private investor in early 2021. Many people try claiming warranty for a cracked hull and all the recieve in the mail is a patch kit.(google hobie warranty and watch some videos)
