I just hope they don't try to build a team like the oilers have... by sucking for so long!

Oilers better start sucking worse soon or they won't get that big pick again.

Defense is horrid (is Giordano kidding me this year?) and the goalie situation continues to make my head hurt.

I wouldn't pick Hiller for my street hockey team when I was 10 years old.

When Burke was calling all the shots things seemed better. I think he is letting Boston Pizza Jr make a few decisions these days and he is in way over his head. He couldn't run a lemonade stand. You don't bring in a GM with no experience during a rebuild. The team up north did that and look what happened there! Hartley and the old boys club coaching staff are not up to the tasks either. Maybe they should try running a four goalie tandem because having three goalies around didn't work. Flames should bring back some more of the old 2004 vets in management and on the coaching staff, the old boys club works.

This has nothing to Do with the GM. The team has stayed almost identical except for the addition of Hamilton.

Sounds like your a disgruntled Oiler fan.

We need goaltending first and foremost... The players don't have confidence their keeper can stop the luck and without that they don't play as loose as they should. It affects them. If there was a real number 1 goalie the team would look better in front of him and we wouldn't be having this discussion. IMO

I could care less about the oilers even though mcdavid will be fun to watch once he gets back. poor GM and Harley has lost the room. Poor effort by the players. Burke should have shown some patience and hired a real GM.

Last year was simply an anomaly, this roster is not a second round team (not a 30th place team either, but somewhere in-between). Last season elevated management's and the fan base's expectations when it couldn't be replicated. They might as well continue to play the way they're playing, better to be terrible than mediocre. Hopefully they're in a better position by this time next season or Bob will be looking for work.
