Default Fishin with my Grand daughters

We went camping at Wabamun for the a few days with the kids and the grand kids this week and I was having a great time watching my 3 little grand daughters catch their first fish .The 3 yr old and the 6 yr old were excited but slightly apprehensive about getting too close. My oldest who just turned 8 on the other hand was loving every minute of it,and insisted on grabbing the net to hoist each fish aboard .Once the hooks were out then she would gently wrap her hands around them lift em from the net and toss em back in the lake . Only time I have ever seen a pike hold still to be picked up but she handled everyone of them like a champ. She wasn't crazy about the roughness of the Walleye but the slippery pike were no trouble.

Priceless memories. Can hardly wait to take my first granddaughter fishing. She's only one so at least 2 years.

The only time I can be in my boat and not fish is watching my grand kids fish.

No grand kids yet but that's why I always take my kids and their friends out. Nothing more enjoyable than seeing a kid catch a sturgeon that's 10x bigger than any fish they've ever seen. Except maybe the look on the parents faces when THEY see the pics for the first time. Take them out , teach them right , catch some fish. Create memories , create sportsmen ( sportswomen )
I too can sit back and not fish !

took 3 grand kids out on friday . caught some fish . the best is letting them set up the " prettiest " hook , and when one catches something , let one of the gk run the net. the ensuing gong show is hilarious . when they actually boat one , they are on huge high that you cant reproduce anywhere .
