I worked in a fab shop here that had the best welders in town who were quite happy to work there but if they got too many repairs they went down the road. End result was not many repairs at all.

Funny enough the foreman gave his 2 week notice, so I'm thinking no one is gonna be working for free.
It's nothing new for welders to get the boot when their repair rate is too high, that's common knowledge. This is just the first place that I have seen try to make people fix their stuff for free then get the boot.
