Default First day at CVR

Can't believe it took me two years to make it to CVR. Awesome lake/res. I also like the C&R for walleyes... Seems to be a healthy fishery.

Anyways, caught a dozen fish with one rod from boat, and fished for about two hours. In fact, gf did most of the fishing.... I only landed a handful. Among them, though, my personal best walleye... 27". It was fat and well fed..... Anyone know what the approximate weight of it would be?

Nice one! I haven't been there in a while too but I'll have to go. I'd say your walleye would be about 8-9 lbs. Looks quite healthy, good to see.

Great catch, there are a ton of eyes and some great structure in that lake. The walleye looks to be around the 8lb mark, if it was fat and 27" that should be about right. Congrats!

Awesome fish! I've caught several there approaching 27in but they're all very snakey looking. It's great so see one that's well-fed. My weight guess would be 7.5-8.5lbs.

Default Work for bigger ones

If you work hard at it there are bigger ones than that in there. Just takes some time and work a few honey holes that you will come across.

Girth can range by quite a bit. The Walleye in question is girthier than the average, in my opinion.
