Default Fox Foothold

Hey guys,

Got a few fox's on the trapline this past weekend. Was using Victor #3 soft catch with 4 coil springs. I do not like these traps for fox's. Both animals had froze their foot overnight and one was almost a chew-off (luckily I checked it early the next morning or it would be gone). I am guessing there is just too much clamping force on these traps and it cuts the circulation off on the small foxes. Wanted to see what others were using for fox in the winter to prevent frozen feet? I have these set up as a dirt hole set with some sardines in the hole and the trap bedded in front.

Thanks!

Many seem to be happy with these.

I have caught 13 in foot holds so far this year all with Bridger #3 Canadian modified jaws and 4 springs. They work very well on yotes and fox. But they will freeze the paw I find. I just put out some belisle foot snares and I'm excited to see how they will do.
