Default Best Trail Camera With Cell Phone Connection

I am looking to buy a camera so I can get pics emailed to me, wanted opinions on which is best ones to get? How much is the monthly fee or do you pay per picture? Any advice would be great since they are not a cheap investment. Thanks

I got the Uway 600 a couple weeks ago but have not had a chance to put it out yet. Got it all set up on Telus. I figured that with the price of gas, I could get one of these and save money checking bear baits in the spring. No bear pics = no bait consumption = driving out to the stations. The best price I found for the Uway was in Barrhead at Kodiak Lake.

When I get some pics I'll let you know.

My hunting partner and I also went in on the new u-way cellular trail camera. Been using it a couple of weeks now, and it works really well if you have good cell reception. We have found that if you cannot get a solid 2 bars of signal then it is likely not going to send the picture.

Picture quality is excellent, and there are a ton of really cool features on it. Can't really comment on battery life, as it is pretty early yet.

Iirc it cost us about $500 and we bough a $100 pay as you go card for the camera.

Here's a sample picture. Not the best lighting and the trails are all a mess from the heavy snow we had earlier. You can clearly see the doe in the picture though.

Not sure on the ins and outs of the cell contract, as mu buddy did that stuff. We just bought a $100 pay as you go, and thought we would see how far it goes ;-)

Depending on where you put the camera perhaps a monthly contract may work better. We decided just to use it on certain trails where animals of "special" interest are known to roam. If you put it on a bear bait you naught burn the pay as you go up pretty quick!

Default Spy point

I have two, one with a telus card that works great one on Rodgers, haven't had much success with it... around Rocky Mountain House. I work overseas, I get text messages sent to me, I log on, check the site, see the photos, works great.
Headed home tomorrow, I know where will hunt.

I ended up paying about $495, this included GST. Wholesale wanted that +GST. It wasn't stickered and I had to take it to the front to get a price at Wholesale.

I agree 100%, but it will save the drive/fuel to find only the odd pic of a raven or a squirrel at the station.
$20 for data or $110 for fuel
Once the bears are on I will know to be out there and waiting.
