There are few things I enjoy more than shooting gophers. I just rarely get the opportunity! Can anybody help a guy out with that?

Living up north I am always looking for some one to point me in the right direction for gophers. It's a entire days drive just to get into gopher country for me and then I have to start looking the next day or two before I can get shooting.

Justt found this thread. I'll add our 3 from a week ago. Was cold and windy but we made our shots count on the ones we saw.
5056 + 3 = 5059
Hopefully will add some more soon.

My son and I got 6 with .243, 22 with 17hmr, 2 with .22, and 31 with .223, and buddy got 42 with .17 WSM. Total for the day of 103.
5097 + 103 = 5200

Lost count after 40 but it wasn't much more than that so:
5227+40=5267
Even got one 13 striped ground squirrel! That was kinda cool, never seen one in real life before.

In Toronto, the US and Europe gophers sell for about 225 dollars each as pets. In the orient they are considered a pet of prosperity.
