Default RIP Rick Cross

I just heard my friend Rick Cross is missing in the mountains west of Calgary. An experienced outdoorsman, he was supposed to return Sat evening from a sheep hunt. I don't know much as far as details go but he drives a white Dodge Diesel dually. Please respond if you saw his truck parked anywhere this weekend. I'll update this thread as I learn more. Pray for Rick and his family. Thanks
Mud

Trying to get more details. Unfortunately all I have is his cell number which obviously isn't working.
I'll update as I learn more.

Update
RCMP have located his pack and found his rifle, but not him. Weather is hindering the search. Very concerned....

That is incredibly strange, to be somewhere without pack and rifle on a sheephunt doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Praying for him and the family.

This is the message that I received from the family. This does not look good. Please pray for Rick.

"He was hunting on Pickle jar. The RCMP have been searching. They won't let anyone else on the mountain. They found his backpack and then 200 yards away his rifle. Now they have a dog team looking but the fog is so thick the helicopter can't fly so everyone is hiking in."

This is very weird, I have known and hunted with Rick for something like 20 years, I can honestly say he is probably a more experienced woodsman than most here. I am trying to make sense of what is going on here, simply doesn't make sense. I sure hope this turns out a lot better than it looks.

Here's hoping for good news. Positive thoughts for him and his family & friends.

Just saw this posted on Twitter by Rocky Mountain Outlook newspaper:

"K-country RCMP and conservation officers search for missing hunter - provincial bear response team on site due to grizzly sow and cub in area".

I hope they find him alive and well! Prayers!
