Sheesh...my heart goes out to this man's family. A tragic outcome, and I can only imagine he was an incredible guy, following his passion, alone, which any of us who do the same can understand. I hope his family finds peace and comfort in the solace that he was doing what he loved to do...may he rest in peace.

Very very Tragic, i just got home from there. Spoke to the RCMP there and all they could tell me was there was a missing hunter and a very aggressive bear in the area. Wasn't until i got into cell coverage that i heard the news.

My condolences to the family, and may he rest in peace!

As said earlier I hope the family can find peace in the fact that he past doing something that he loved and was passionate about. We all hunt alone from time to time because we love the mountains. It's so unfortunate but I will hug my wife and tell her if a grizzly eats me it will be terrible but I love being out there that much as I'm sure he did. My prayers go out

The last thing we think of when we walk that cut line, trail or valley is that we won't come home. RIP fellow hunter, Condolences to his family and friends.

Terrible.

I'm planning a hunt just east of there on Junction Creek. I'm definitely not going alone now. Really makes you think. I wonder if he had bear spray and where he he had it / if it was deployed.

How did I know I would see a comment like this over at AO

Get some common sense and save the comments for another bear defense thread...
