Default Crown Land Map

Is there an Alberta Crown Land map that exists? I dislike not knowing when I am or when I'm not in crown land. I always have a good idea, but I would like to be 100% sure. I've been hearing Maclean creek is crown land, which I did not know and am now curious about other areas I can hunt for birds and random camp.

Cheers.

Get a county map. They will show crown land.

Shown by county or municipality.
Contact those counties or municipalities you wish to know more about, and buy a map.

There is an app that is about to come out with this, just waiting on approval from apple. See my signature for details of said app. Should be about a week before approval.

This is your best bet. The map will also show names of landowners, how much land they have and where they reside if you want to get permission. very handy tool.

Default Online Map

There is a link (sorry I do not have it handy) to an online map where you can then click on the various plots of land to see the leaseholders and access conditions. A Google search should find it. I usually use this in conjunction with a County map.

I always print these off the conditions of the specific plots to show to lease holders, authorities, etc. With a map and the printed conditions of access, you KNOW you are legally accessing plots. I have had lease holders advise of magical conditions that are not listed on the reports.... That is when the map and report come out to show proper access has been complied with.

Most leaseholders are very friendly and if you are respectful of the land and their lease, they are pleasant and extend a warm welcome. The odd sourpuss prompted me to print the reports to rely on.

The site to find lease land is:
https://maps.srd.alberta.ca/RecAcces...ewer=RecAccess

The similarly functioning add-on for the app mentioned is going to work on both iOS and Android.

Default Crown land

I am very interested in this app but please tell me how this works in areas with no service. Where I go there is no service at all.

Hey guys, as much as I would like to discuss more on here, AO would prefer I do not, so just shoot me an email at info@ihunterapp.com and I will answer.

*Short answer, there is a Pro Tools add on (iPhone only). Almost the entire app works without cell service at all (GPS works even when cell doesn't). All boundary data, including the Public land access in app purchase/subscription, is bundled with the app, so again, no need for cell service.
