I am just hoping they hang around until they drop. Last year this property netted me Zero.

I have never seen anywhere near this number on this property before.

Fingers crossed.

Finally this season's curse is broken
Could not find the match, but will try again later this week. There was a bunch of them feeding not too far and I did not want to bother them too much and figured I would come back.
I was out a number of times this year and could not find a thing. This is probably the latest in the season I found a first shed. Also, this is probably the first time I found a mule's shed before picking up one (or a few) from whitetail.

(Sorry, had nothing handy to put next to it for perspective except for a bottle of beer)

Went looking for the other shed today and haven't found anything. Was about to leave and then this guy shows up:

Spent about half an hour looking at him and still could not figure out if he is the one who lost what I found. I left pretty much at dark and pulling out from behind a small hill saw three more with single left antlers and all looked more or less similar Saw some with full gear today as well. There was a young female whitetail hanging out among the mules (about 15 of them).

Also I cannot find the giant I have been watching for quite some time waiting for him to shed

I have only been out once and found a matched set of Muley antlers and a single..Its going to be a mad rush for all us Shed Huntn nuts once the snow starts to melt but by then its more realistic when the majority will start dropping.

I will post a link to a You Tube video at the end of season as well on this years shed Hunt on our MLO page.

The wide open fields where their feeding now i touch mid day when theres less chance of scaring them out. Bedding areas come later for me . Just mark your spots where their grouped up now and hopefully they stay laying there and the yotes don't carry them away or chew on them.

Good luck everyone, its enjoyable seeing your posts and don't forget to take a Youth or newbie out with you....

One of a couple I found a little over a week ago. BEFORE THIS CURSED SNOW!!! I have a really good idea of where the match will be as this buck is a real home body. I hate the white stuff this time of year.

Many have shed, but quite a few are still carrying around here.

I have not been that fortunate this year and am having (probably) the worst shed season since I first started doing it. I can easily count how many sheds I found this year using my fingers, only on one hand too Not a single set for me either. Hopefully, it will turn around once snow is gone.

To make things even worse for me, I have a permission to walk around a field that is visited by the highest quantity of different mature mule bucks I have ever seen. It seems to be the only field with wheat still standing in the area and it seems that everyone comes for a visit. The funny thing is though, all of them feed there every night and sometimes day, many have their bedding right there as well (why would you leave, right?); but they all leave to shed elsewhere I found two sheds on that field so far.

I have also noticed that many bucks walk around with one antler for days! (most of them are left, btw ) No wonder I can't complete a single set.

And finally, I still have not found a shed from a whitetail this year

Now that the rant is over, I found this one today. Probably from an older fella: it is short, but extremely thick. Much thicker than a pop can at the base. And I have never seen the owner before.

I did not have a pop can, so I took a picture with my hand/wrist, which it easily covers. Now that I think about it, I should have taken one with the bottle of beer I took one of the previous pictures with for comparison, but too lazy to do it now (and yes, I still have that beer )

Good luck to ya'll going out this weekend!
