Default Best trout lake in the Crow for shore fishing w kids

I am planning a camping trip for students, and we're thinking of going to southern Alberta. This would happen in May or by early June at the latest.

Can anyone think of a decent trout lake or pond in the Crowsnest Pass where kids can fish from shore and have an actual shot at catching fish?

Thanks!
Smitty

Lee Lake …...no camping there though

Beauvais/Beaver Mines Provincial Park for fishing and camping

Ice is off Lee Lake sooner than Beauvais or Beaver. Beaver ice can stretch into mid May

Phillips lake
All
Day
Long

Then Lee is ok in the spring.
Coleman fish n game pond is excellent if stocked... late April. Get your kids to chase down hoppers and run those under slip bobbers
9ft of line till the stopper.

If Burmis lake is stocked.... fish off the rocks.... lots o fun.

Take a nice little beauty hike to window mountain lake.... fish dropper flies under bobbers

Emerald lake is beautiful and can sometimes surprise... best chance to see wolves and mountain sheep there....

There’s a tonne of options.

Is Butcher the only lake in the area with a shot at a brookie?

For fishing and weather, June is better than May.
