Omg...I had the same car. Black on black. Not as nice an engine though. 383 Magnum. Did you change your rear end? I had the terribly slow .273's

Default toy car

Not "muscled" yet but looking at various options for more horsepower. Sits with a 350 4 bbl and 4 bolt tranny so there are some easy upgrades available. I keep kidding around about dropping a zz4 into it. We'll see. Might be easier keep it the way it is and build up something else. I might look for an incomplete rebuild and see about finishing that off.

1970 red / black Chevelle convertible.
Bought with 454 but born with 350 so part of restoration was changing back to 350. The engine mods are not completely finished but it's a really fun, and popular, car to cruise.
Not sure how to upload a picture.

Super T-10 with an in line shifter by Long Shifters.
Lift the T handle & move forward , to 1st. No need to touch the T after , straight back 2nd, straight forward 3rd & straight back 4th.
Another shifter for reverse.
Line lock on shift handle.

I have a 2nd build on the rotisserie right now. Another 72.
Will be a more "mild" build, but better built. Full 100 % welded seams & 8.5 + cage .......etc. Likely in the 400 - 450 HP range & be in the 10s.

White one should be well into the 9s.

Wow these cars are wicked!.

Wish I had the money back in the day.

Best I could do was take the motor and tranny out of
my 1968 gallexy 500 and drop it into my 1964 mustang body.
So I did.

She romphed let me tell you. Ran out of road before gas petal hit the
floor.

390 ci with a C6 automatic trans in a 1964 stang with a semi posi
rear.

Get up an gone. The camaros would take me off the line but once
I caught up and speed ohmeter pegged, I still had gas petel and we
ran out of road. So how fast were we goin' ? We don't know.

Wish I had pictures of it now.

I took a sledge hammer to the shock towers and cow to make room.
I fabracated 2 pieces of 1 1/2" channel iron welded together to buffer and
raise the moter mounts.
I cut the drive shaft down to like 2' 6" and asked my stepfather to weld
it together and balance it best he can.

He did.

I had to use a pair of vice grips to work for the Hearst Shifter I did not
yet have. It did, for a test drive.

I drove it up and down a five mile trek from the farm.

Come Monday morning, from Kobars Junk yard I bought a used Hearst
floor shift and installed it, then took the stang to Motor Veheicle for inspection.

Glass packs, side pipes, the car rocked from side to side at an idol, G50s
on the back, G70s on the front. Chrome.

They failed me for no rear view mirror.

Ok I'm cool with that.

What a car, those were the days.

As outstanding that Mustang was with the 390.

My '69 Chevelle impressed me most.

It was the only car I ever had that you could pop the
clutch in 3rd geer and turn the steering wheel both left
and right, (the car simple kept going streight) AND
you would know with out a doulbt both front wheels were
off the ground.

In third geer.

Horse power right there.
That was cool.
