Can't be true. Why would lots of people be trying to draw there?

What's the best hunting clothes and boots to wear hunting in zone 999? I was figuring on borrowing my mom's Capri pants incase I need to wade a crick or something. A Hawaii shirt so's I am visible to other hunters, and flip flops, in case I gotta wade a crick. What do you'all suggest?

Yes bye. That's the proper uniform. Might want to add one of those hard hats that hold two brews on the sides.

Would you suggest I use my chromed sks. Can only use it on even days. My brother uses it on the odd days. It's got a new Tasco scope and shoots a 12" group at 50 yards. If I shoot real fast I can get one real close to where I point it.

About the 12" groups......you forgot to mention "all day long". No worries, I got your back.

Total mis-direct deke out move - they are NOT!
They just don't want the OP to put in for draws in their favorite WMU's!
This way half on the Province creeping this forum will put in for 999 and those who SAID they were going to will get drawn in their choice!

Is there enough wind in this wmu to properly challenge your abilities? Likely not.

I've been sitting on mile high priority for along time in 999, but funny thing happened- I feel like i lost my thrill for hunting. It's like the passion is gone. I just can't stand the thought of rolling out to sit in a cold stand for the morning. Anyone else feeling the same way?

There's a little trick to getting drawn for Angus that has worked beautifully for me. Seems if you put the draw in on day of opening at 12 am and 10 seconds, it's a slam dunk. Has worked so well for me I'm thinking of having my wife apply next year. Not sure if it works for any other species though.

I was scouting 999 last weekend and found this track:

Anyone know what it is? I'm leaning towards unicorn, but I'm not positive (I don't want to waste my priority if it not).

Is there Antelope and Buffalo in 999?
I only have 1 day to hunt this year so would like to get it done in a day.
I have a 223 rem Mini 14 ranch rifle that shoots minute of pie plate all day long.

On a recent drive thru 999, met up with 2 old guys hunting small game. They were taking pictures in the ditch of at least a dozen nice jackalope they harvested (with one being an exceptional 4x4). Nice fellas

I've been hunting the heck out of 999 for years, I haul my RV out a week or so before the season opens and usually get all my tags filled and more before the season even opens, that way I don't have to deal with all those lazy road hunters. Last year was by far my best year, I was even lucky enough to knock down a couple grizzeys for camp meat, I should of got 3 but I gut shot her and didn't bother looking for her as she ran away with her 3 cubs at her side... sounds like it's going to get busy there this year so I just might head out a couple weeks earlier this year to beat the crowd... good luck all

Jim...

How many landowners are you allowed to shoot? Is there a compulsory inspection and do you have to notify their family?

Perfect. Don't forget the spare gun for me to use. Oh! Bring a knife too. Then you can show me the best way to field dress and pack out an animal. 😊
