Awesome. I can only hope when I'm that old I can still get out there like that. We're bringing my Grand father to Africa next June on a lion hunt, He'll be 87

Pretty cool. Grats to yer pal.
My plan at 84 (God willing) is to sit on a bench at the mall with Hayseed, sharing a brown paper bag while ogling hot chicks. May have to reassess that plan now.

The key is: you will be 84 if you keep hunting and being physical. Always eating natures foods and not the store bought 'product' might help a little too.

i ran into a guy hunting sheep alonejust as far into the mountains as i was a few weeks ago. he was 63. i have no doubt he will be doing it until he passes. that guy is tougher than i could even lie about being. we swapped a few stories on the mountain. he never boasted about anything he had done....just told me a few stories of the old days. all i could do was soak it up. i was well aware that i was in the presence of greatness. when a guy like him speaks, all i could do was listen and try to learn from him. i wish him the best and sincerely hopes he finds his 40 inch book ram this fall.

There are days that I feel as if 50 will be a stretch to still be (backpack) sheep hunting, and I'm 49!!
All kidding aside, that's awesome! Congratulations to the hunter!

Fantastic! Enjoy those moments and memories. I wish now I had taken more time to spend with my Dad in his later years.
Here's hoping we all are able to enjoy the important things with the important ones for that long. I sure know the other stuff gets too much of my time...
