Default Grouse Hunting

Hi there, I am looking for a place to go grouse hunting north or east of edmonton. I am of course willing to drive a fair distance (based in edmonton) and was hoping to head out this weekend with fiance and bag some chickens...

does anyone out there have any suggestions or want to share some spots?

Thanks

W

Lots of Crown Land a couple hours north and you can hunt the back roads there and back if you use a shotty.

Go around Fawcett on the transcanada skidoo trail. The cuts off of that are good for ruffies.

You will find grouse pretty much on every piece of crown land where you are hunting. I have found grouse hunting is best when the sun is out, I mean, not much cloudy, rain etc. Most of the places are thick bush, long cut lines so walking and hunting can be little hard with out a good dog. Pick a sunny day with clear sky start hunting early in the morning and you will get something.
