4 Hunters Missing
I hope they show up alive and well. Hopefully some local AOs are in on the search. Pretty nasty stuff. Prayers for the 4 fellows.

I have been watching an old show on Netflix, Life Below Zero. Some of the stuff the people who live there have to cross to hunt or fish is wild.
I see they found the boat but make no mention if it was damaged or capsized. I am hopeful they will find the 4 holed up by a fire waiting for rescue.

I was just reading over on CBC's website that this is now a recovery operation. Pretty sad events.

Unfortunately looks like they took on water. Two of them are Ladouceur's which I used to have a family connection with. Absolutely awesome bushmen. Hoping for the best.

Such a shame
Cold water is a killer for sure.
My sympathies for all the friends and families.

Would all 4 have been thrown from the boat? If it took on water, could you not stay with it in that condition? Still hoping for a good outcome.

There's always a chance that one or more, made it to shore.
Fingers crossed.

CBC reported their guns were still on board, if they went hunting on shore they would have taken them. Hope they made it to shore

Cat, can they somehow travel down the Slave River and connect to the Rocher, or would they have travelled up to Great Slave Lake, and boated from there to the Rocher?

No they would have gone into the Rocher right from the village of Ft. Chip .

☡attention update!☡
Here is a Link
http://m.edmontonsun.com/2017/04/30/...issing-hunters. My guess here is the may have hit Floating Dedris under water(logs). I have had this happen to me in BC; boat was not damaged as i was going slow, after that happen i had my boy spotting in front of boat for any debris and taking time to get where i needed to get....ithis was at Revelstoke Lake (Upper). Kind of seems this what happen here.

Sad outcome, they were doing what we all do, head out into the wilds and never returned. Plus losing 4 rangers will be a double whammy. Condolences to the families.

I pray the others are oka, water weather it be a large lake or a big river has lead to many accidents in night driving .I use to get up at the resort I worked at to go looking for guest after midnight on a 100,000 acre lake and almost lost my own life looking for them, the last few years I told my boss,no more night driving for me,when the sun comes up I will look till dark, just to risky specially when there's stuff floating all over from the high water, but if you do it all the time it's just another trip.My prayers go out to the families.
