With all the forest fires lately, I wouldn't think it would be all that wet up north...

Default trail into orloff

Just got back yesterday. Bring rain gear for the quad! The trail got progressively worse over the four days we were there. Getting the boats out was a bit of a project. My suggestion...bring a swede saw and make sure your winch is working! Well worth it once you get in tho. Also...haul the boat(s) in with a tub trailer, not a boat trailer. A few other groups came in with boat trailers and had nothing but problems. Huge jacks....biggest one in the group 16 lbs 4 oz, and even bigger follow ups. Walleyes were a little slow but still brought a couple home. Have fun...tell me how it goes.

Ya, we got back on friday. Trail really, really wet and some of the holes getting worse. Really had to pick yer spots. We caught a few nice jacks, but no walleye, sigh....

Oh well and adventure anyway that's for sure. First time there and I know I will definatly be back! Beautiful lake.

Glad to hear you had a good trip(s). I have fished it many times in the winter but have yet to hit it during open water. Maybe this year...Thanks for the report.
