Default elk 411

i am heading out this long weekend in search of elk #11, the cooler weather could make things interesting. with the high cost of fuel ect. i am hoping that any and all of you bugle boys would be interested in sharing information on the rut as it progresses; hitting the right time is critical as i'm sure you'd agree and getting out at the best time can be tricky, so if i hunt i will share with all of you my observations and i will report truthfully. if some of you do the same we could all benefit.

spent three days looking for elk and from what i saw they are ready to rut! it's been a long time since i've seen this much sign this early. i even found a few big rubs but the bulls were absent and are making it tough for old el sparko.

Went out last night to see if I could get a response. Had a 5X5 come in right away, but he was on the wrong side of the creek. He hung around for awhile, but never made a sound. Went back this morning, didnt hear a thing.
