Default Spray Lakes

Hello all, I went up to Spray lakes this weekend and took out the boat and went after lake trout. I must say that the fishing up there has diminished quite a bit from a few years ago near the boat launch at driftwood. There were quite a number of boats launched that day and all of them went south from the boat launch. We ended up catching three lakers in 4 hours. You used to be able to catch 20 easily within 300 yards of the boat launch in a couple of hours. I feel that this lake too has had increased fishing pressure and we are starting to see a decline in fish numbers at the north end of the lake, hense that is why everyone is headed south on the lake. Just my two cents.

Can only comment on that lake during hard water season. Parking at driftwood and heading out yielded fish but there were only a couple of days that it was fantastic. We do see a lot of vehicles headed further south as well.

Just curious, when and where do the lake trout spawn on Spray?
