I would start securing permission or you're going to be out of luck.
I know people that were securing permission last fall.

They've been crushed this winter. Very low numbers it seems. So odd. Way too many cats around. Used to see them frequently, can count twice this winter.

Well,

If all else fails, you can switch the search to the local liquor store.

It should be beside the Jim Bean, maybe the Johnny Walker, or around that area.

One of my hunting buddies got his down south last May. When he ran into the local F&W officers they were helpful in giving him advice on where they would be. Try chatting with the fish cops out there and they could point you in the right direction.

Good luck! I’ll be headed down this year as well. It’s been an 11 year wait for me to get the tag. Never hunted turkey, looking forward to it!

I camped at Lumbrek Falls and hunted the zones in that area. Big thing was to make sure to get permission and know where the property boundries are.

I was lucky but also saw quite a few Jakes before calling my bird in.

Good luck
