Default Winter trips?

Just wondering if any of you make any regular trips to Vancouver island during the winter months for a quick fix. I’m really craving some flowing water

i don't go to Vancouver for a winter fix, but I do hit up the bow the odd time when a chinook comes to town. Usually I can get a few to hand to help tide me over till the warmer weather rolls in.

I used to fish the Vedder/Chilliwack and the Squamish/ Cheakamus rivers while visiting relatives in Vancouver but haven't done that for a while. Never had all that much luck but flowing water has great healing powers!

Last good steelheading trip was on the Big Qualicum river years ago. I would hit the the Stamp river with a guide if I could get away in March/April.

There are many rivers to fish in the winter without leaving the province! There is the Bow, Athabasca, Crowsnest, Oldman etc. that have sections open year round.
