I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on sheep scoring, but to me, those scores seem to be very conservative. But, knowing Darryl a little bit, that would be his style. Although, he should know, he is/was a B&C official scorer! Like I say, I'm no sheep expert. Very very nice sheep!

She is a hand full!! We had her in B.C and got her a stone this fall. Part way through the hunt her brother even flew in to pack her gun and some gear for her. Knowing Randy im sure they butted heads.

Congrats to Darryl and Kim!!! Both very nice rams. Base measurments seem light for Cadomin rams? Love seeing them 40"+ bighorns though, great job Kim.

This sheep hunting thread seems to be missing a regular contributor for some reason

"Base measurments seem light for Cadomin rams?"

For those interested in Sheep bases in Alberta. I find it interesting that southern Alberta sheep have bigger bases.

http://media.nwsgc.org/proceedings/N...rt%20FINAL.pdf

I would love to get drawn in Cadomin but according to the last draw summary it won't be in my lifetime.

Contrats again on an awsome hunt.

With it being a no priority draw, your odds are as good as anyone else's. It could happen next year! I know one guy that's been drawn twice....

Can someone that is an ace at statistics do the math on the chances of being drawn twice? I'm guessing they are astronomical. But that's a guess.

i was under the impression with this draw that it was like the goat draw, once drawn you were no longer eligible?

About 1 in 300. .33-.49% depending on the season.

Nope, just sit out a year if you were succesful the previous year. I've heard rumours that two people have been drawn twice but I only know one personally. If he draws again next year...I calling fix...

I heard the same rumor, and that was because when we got our new IBM system it was flawed. First come first serve, They have now fixed it............just what I heard.

That had nothing to do with the 438 tags. That was the goat tags, 408 sheep and possibly 437 sheep that were caught up in that fiasco. Trust me, my buddy is definitely not organized enough to get his draws in first....lol

If that so called buddy of yours were to draw a tag for a third time I think he should have to wear a pink dress, and drive a pink agro for the rest of his hunting career.

Those are very nice rams and that's a cool story behind them. The score on the first one really surprises me. I've read the bases on the rams are getting smaller over time in that area but still, who's going to pass on that guy looking for a bigger one. I must admit i'd field judge that ram as making book. I want to say some of the base measurements have gone 16'' in there but i don't have my Boone and Crockett handy. Wicked sheep anyways, I'm sure I'm up for that draw one of these years

Didn't those 2 put out a hunting video a few years ago? Or a show about hunting?

I could be wrong too but I beleive that a very high percentage of rams from there have had 16"+ bases.
