It'll open up, we're the only team in the division who hasn't played Ottawa and Edmonton. Teams that are 29th and 30th in goals against.

I think Tkachuk is close - he at least brings a fire with him every single night. Is he respected in the dressing room? I'm not sure. But he seems like the sort of player that would let you know if you were carrying your weight or not. I think Lindholm 'could' be, but honestly that's about it. Anderson has been impressive on the ice and I can see him with a leadership role down the track.
Gio definitely lost something - and fast. It seemed to happen during the break last 'season'. At his age it's tough to take time off like that and come back without any consequences. I like the guy but wouldn't be opposed to trading him (not that we need to).

I agree with you that this team have a lot of problems, forward and defense.
However, refresh my memory how many points did Draisaitl + McDavid score in the playoffs proper last year? AFAIK, they don't hand out the Stanley Cup based on regular season points.

I'd rather watch two of the best players in the NHL light it up every night than watch a one and done team year in, year out. 1 cup. 1 round. It's fun to watch the Oilers tks to these two. Calgary not so much. Or at all really.
And to your Point, how many points do the Flames so called big guns rack in the playoffs every year? Part of the problem Maybe?

Sounds like Rinaldo is in.
Hopefully he, Lucic, and Bennett have there way with three or four Oilers. I feel this needs to be mentioned, again, they do know hitting is allowed, right?
