Ok. Thanks. I wasn't sure how exactly that worked. Do you build points for each year you don't get drawn or is it a lottery draw for non-resident each time?

Right now no priority system (Canadian Resident Whitetail). Just mainly goes by family sponsor gets priority. This is my first year as a Canadian resident (Alberta) and not a sask resident. Drawn in 55 with my dad as a sponsor

I'm an Alberta resident(technically) and farm in Sask and without a sponsor I've been denied a tag every year since this new system came out. Max out all my zone choices! Once again I can't hunt on my very own land (family homesteaded there nearly 110 yrs ago) that I pay taxes on...what a system!

Thumbs up Best Thing That Happened to me....

The Last year I hunted in Saskatchewan was 2013....I haven't been drawn since then but in that time have taken Two whitetail bucks over 180" and another in the 170's right here in good old Alberta

Nothing for me this year on any of my families land. And my sask resident friends didn't get any of their draws either. Hopefully I have better luck next year, I'd really like to do a hunt with my grandpa before he passes.

No doubt it's flawed in some ways, and hopefully soon our deer will be back to the numbers to where they can have it like it was before.

Sask resident
4th year super A mule deer -- not drawn
4th year super A moose -- not drawn
6th year super A Elk -- not drawn

Its a good thing we've had good luck in the regular moose and deer season otherwise I would have to take up knitting or basket weaving.

Default Sask Draws

I love the draw system in Sask and wish they didn't make these new changes but it's still pretty awesome. I got drawn for moose and mule deer this year which is everything I asked for 👍 . Elk is OTC 5 mins from the house

You know what I liked it to. Now with this legacy pool all they did was turn the best zones into truly once in a lifetime draws that will eventually be flooded with legacy people.

With the new system once your drawn if you want to get drawn again into a popular zone you will be waiting at least 15 years....

I have finally drawn again as a non sponsored canadian whitetail hunter.
Zone 68N which is new to me as I've always hunted 55 when given the tag, pretty stoked about heading back there but no next to nothing about this new zone!

If anyone wants to shed some light on 68N feel free

So when you guys get drawn, how much do you spend in a week of hunting in Saskatchewan?
