Default Careful on the ice.

This a Picture of my quad from last weekend. Was able to get out easy enough, but would be a different story had it been some ones truck. Please use caution out there.

Looks like lots of snow for insulation there, trough in the bush for snow melt to run off and close to the weeds. All of these things can contribute to thin or rotten ice.

Hope you didn't soil your pants when it happened. Good thing that it was just the back end that went through as it wouldn't have been fun to get it out if the whole thing went in for a bath. Glad your ok.

Becarefull out there. Ice can be bad almost anywhere this time of year. The sun has some heat in it now and remember, ice melts from the underside and up as the lake water warms up. Top water makes the ice rotten.

Where abouts were you?

Damn. Must have been scary when you first broke through. Hope you didn't have your coyote rifle and caller strapped to the back. It's always along the shoreline that ice gets dangerous in spring.

Ya I was out yesterday and drove up to a huge pond I usually cut across on my quad, spider sense was tingling so I took the land route, weeds, slush on or near the shore covered with snow got me thinking....you got lucky, could have been worse, be safe out there!
