Hey Wildman I was at gull on saturday and we fished at the shelf at degraff's on the NE end for pike and ling. A guy came over there to try to get his limit of pike and ling, he came from Brownlow's Landing where he had his limit of nice sized whitefish and perch. He said he saw whitefish all day long.

We ended up with a couple pike on the ice and lost a bunch more.

Forgot to add that if you want to go for pike and ling don't even bother until a little less than an hour until sunset, nothing, nadda, until then. Mid-day woukd be better spent targeting whitefish and perch.

Hows the road on the ice at Gull? Would I get stuck due to drifted hard snow?:eek thinking of going with the wife and little one if it's half decent weather.

Might not be a good idea vex, the snow is drifted and packed HARD. We had a 4 x 4 dually and were sliding around, this close to getting stuck ( || )

Better to park on the shore and walk out to where you;re going

hey sniperwolf, weight in the back helps and not just 3 or 4 sandbags.

Perchfisher and I have fun "trying" to get the CRV stuck at Gull Lake, and laugh at all the 4x4's tires spinning out. ((( right Crafty ie. Isle))):rollin
