Default RPAL/PAL renewal ineptitude

I submitted my RPAL/PAL renewal on February 15th. My licences have actually expired while waiting for the process to complete. I have called numerous times, sent them my range licence and it is still waiting to be processed.
You ask the person on the phone what the issue is and all you are told is that it is under review. What a complete joke of a system.
I have actually just emailed a complaint to my MP about this ridiculous process asking him what can be done to change the procedure. It probably wont make a difference but who knows.
I just had to vent.

I always apply to renew six months before my PAL expires. I have received my renewal in less than three weeks, and I have waited over five months.

It's pretty much thought that you should apply 6 months before expiry.
I've very seldom seen a renewal in less than 45-60 days.
I feel your pain, but you should have applied earlier.

Pretty simple process? Mine is up in November so I thought I should get started on it.

Google it? or do you by chance have a link you can provide?

Go to the Canadian Firearms Program website and click on where it says "Renew Online Now!"

My PAL had expired but I was within the 6 month grace period. Did the renewal online and had it back in less than 10 days.

Did my last renewal online. Had my new license in less than 2 weeks. I also applied for renewal about 6 months early. Frustrating waiting for them no doubt.

Did you have to check any of the boxes in regards to your medical history?

Mine expires in July, did it in April online, took a selfie against my light grey dining room wall. 2 weeks later it was here. I was shocked to say the least.

Applied on 5/13 and when I saw this thread I thought maybe I would check - status report says the licence has been processed and issued. Just waiting on the mail now I guess.
