Yes come on up - you can fight for spots along with all the poachers that run away with a bag of walleye when I show up to fish. Happened again last weekend - called it in but they took off...

The NSR has some different nice fish to catch but access can be tough in comparison to the Bow. We have lots of cliffs and trees surrounding not to mention you cannot wade. You have to be creative to find a spot by yourself away from people so I'm excited to hear some easy access points are going to open up and free up maybe some other spots.

ya i was kinda thinking the same along that line of boat launches with docks now that is sweet. i just hear that the boat launches in calgary is somewhat hard to get access to, and most are for the fire crews and fish n wildlife boats.

Default VERY different rivers

at their confluences with the 2 cities. The NS is relatively slow moving and warm during most of its open seasons, compared to the Bow. I don't think the Bow would have the same "tolerances" for public trailered launches and docks (?).

so north sask is bigger and deeper compared to the bow? i floated the bow once in that bowness raft race and i was very surprised at how shallow it was but this was back in the late 90s early 2000 ish.

Stands to reason, NSR has on average 2.5 times the flow rate than the Bow.

There was talk from council that access to the Bow will be restored , but it's low on the list of 2013 flood clean up and flood hardening
