Popped down to Hermitage at 1230pm today not expecting much of a harvest due to the heavy winds. As expected there was nobody out and the afternoon got to a start. Second cast brought in the first catch of the day and it was on from there. Fished with some peeps and enjoyed a consistent afternoon, mostly 3.5-5.5 lbs walleye. the later afternoon slowed down so I switched from a bright white jig to a black 2 tail Jig and pulled out a couple nice eye's.
Then I slowly brought in my jig and BANG the whopper hit it. I knew it was a Jack right off and it felt big. Before I could see it I got it close and it ran...fought with it for about 3 mins and then I saw it...IT was a monster! It fought for a good 10 mins and what a great end to a beautiful fishing day.
kinda felt like a big A hole because I was catching all these fish and the couple next to me didn't catch anything
Hope you enjoy
