LOL -go to Russels or ANY place else!!!!
WSS has very poor service (if you need any help) - not to mention the flies there are VERY poor quality. You get what you pay for.

Save yourself some time and head down McLeod Trail to Fishtales. Dave and the gang will not only help you find all the flies you could ever dream of. But they are a very knowledgeable bunch of guys and are always willing to give you some advice on what to use or where to go.
That's my 2 cents worth. For what it's worth.

Guess I must have been lucky then as every time I've gone into the fly fishing section I've been offered help within 5 min and it's been pretty good service overall. I do agree the flies are not fantastic for the price and now that I've found Icky, I'll probably never bother with visiting a shop again.

I went into Wholesale for flies and some other fishing gear before my trip to BC and the service was great!!!!!.....actually thought I was somewhere else. I never even knew there was a fly section at Wholesale I have to agree though, that as for the rest of the store......never again. It's Crappy Tire or Russells

I tie all my own flies so the quality of their flies isn't important to me. They have all the good name brand tying materials though at a very fair price. I buy the bulk of my tying stuff from Wholesale. As for the service, here in GP, it's been awesome! In every department of the store too.

For the longest time ( I mean 6 months or more) they didn't even have half of their fly tying stock on hand. Maybe they've fixed the problem. I don't know. I haven't gone back in there since. Why bother when I can be sure that Fishtales will most times have what I need.

Wss
I found that Mike in fly fishing is probably the most professional I have seen.
I keep asking when He will tie again. His designs are smart and well thought out. I challenge anybody to surpass his designs.

I will second the post on Mike, I have gone as far to phone to make sure he is working and if not I will wait until he is.
I appreciate that he recomends stuff he himself would use or even does.
