Default SKS Ammo

Where can a guy buy ammo for an SKS besides Cabelas? Apparently Cabelas is unable to get any of the surplus ammo?

The non-chain stores usually have lots. And many canadian firearm online stores have plenty. Where are you located?

Oh, they can get it, I think. I just don't think that they want to buy it by the crate. They used to sell what they called "Battle Bricks" of around 100 rounds in the Ukrainian military 20 round boxes, but that stopped.

Default Ukrainian "Civil War"

So you want cheap SKS Ammo?

Most of the Baltics which are NATO members are garrisoned because of Russian expansion. So is Poland.

The free part of the Ukraine is garrisoned because of Russian expansion, and desperately trying to stop a Russian "land bridge" to Crimea.

There are NATO soldiers in these Countries, but they are not going to be the meat shields if the Russians become aggressive. It will be the locals.

Is the surplus SKS 7.62 x 39 corrosive ammo any good? Not by Western standards, but it is cheap and fun to shoot!

But for some poor soldier staring across at a formidable threat with the order to hold the line, with Soviet era equipment in hand, he is holding on to every round he can find.

So until things straighten out over there, the supply has dried up.

I suppose that is why you can't get anything from tulammocanada these days ??
Have tired to purchase a few times over the last couple of months and when I click on "shop now" is says "category not found".

I have used a bunch of their 7.62x39 and .223. It's decent non corrosive ammo for the price if you don't mind steel cases.

A quick phone call solved that mystery.... they said "sanctions, we are not allowed to import anything, check back at the end of the year" in a heavy Russian accent LOL
