Default Wholesale Sports South Edmonton

Just giving everyone a huge heads up that the price you see at wholesale Sports South Edmonton may not be the price they ring it in at.... this has happened to me god knows how many times. .. Today I was purchasing 11 different types of rapala ' s.... every single one of them came up for $1 more than the tags. ...I usually only go there last resort or if its on my way. .. This was the straw that broke the camels back. All of my business will now be done at the fishing hole south side. .. They made 0 effort to even fix this issue so I returned all 11 and told them they lost a customer. My recommendation is to only buy there clearance augers and tents every year... Other than that I hope they go bankrupt.

Default wholesale Sports south edmonton

Same thing happened to me just the other day in the same store. Charged me more than what the item was tagged for.

Default Come on. Happens at every store. Grocers are the worst.

Any store that is constantly adjusting prices has this issue. Buyer beware. Not a real reason to slag on wholesale or any one store...
Out of stocks are another issue. Makes me question buying power...

So when you go to a store you expect to pay higher prices than the tags on nearly all your items...... lots of reason to slag.

Give the OP the benefit of the doubt. If this happens frequently to him he has every right to voice his concerns. No need to flame. I shop there. Haven't had any problems that I've noticed. Sure like their jig selection better than Cabela's.

See issues like this at a wide variety of stores. No one store has the market cornered on it.

When it comes to fishing gear... I only buy hooks, weights, swivels and the occasional bobber now, lots of beads leftover from salmon and steelhead gear.

probably have several hundred $$ in each spoons spinners and crank baits I never use anymore.

I really haven't shopped much at whole sale for years, but surprised this is still happening. This was a frequent problem in the old store. The excuse I got back then was they were linked to the Calgary store and they were the lead store. So Calgary would make computer price changes and then they wouldn't have the updated sticker prices in Edmonton yet, but you'd sure get dinged at the till.

I haven't had this problem in the new store the few times I've been there, but maybe this is why it happens still.

I had a problem with the items on their web page and in the store once. Wrong pic with the priced item. I didn't bother arguing with them and just went to CT. and bought what I was looking for. I like WSS but it seems that they always have some kind of problem nomatter how hard they try to please the customers.
On a similar note, I always have an idea of how much my purchase should be with a quick count in my head, keep a look out at the registar and if the numbers don't add up I question it. Have caught the stores mores offten then you would think, incorrect pricing that is. ( All stores ) and not just WSS. Consumer beware.

If you think sporting goods stores are bad you guys better start checking your grocery store receipts. Usually the price on the shelf or in the weekly flier has little resemblance to what comes up at the till, at least in the stores in this town.

Yup, so in the end, they're doing you a favor and saving you a ton of money on your lures!!

Cheers

WSS does not participate as I was informed a couple of years ago but their optics manager unless this has changed.

I still buy most of my fishing gear at WSS but always do some math in my head as I'm filling my basket. Find that WSS has better selection and better than Cabelas. Talking regular price here, Raps are a buck less so it adds up!
