Default New toy

Well after talking about for a while I finally went out bought a 7mm08
Remington Sps with a leupold vx2 3x9. All metal is getting cerakote desert brown. But not sure what else to do after that any suggestions?
I was shooting 3" groups at 200 yards but I'm sure off a bench could do better.

Nice rig buddy cool cartridge!!

I have always been a fan of the sage green with a black webbing for a stock paint job.

Wholesale had them on sale for 500$ and the leupys on sale for 280$ so it came together fairly inexpensive. Im going to paint the stock just not sure what color yet. The 7mm08 is cool little cartridge should be hell on coyotes a wolf this winter.

Dan I will trade u straight across for that 375 of yours

Congrats, a great rifle and a great caliber. I took a nice fat muley doe yesterday morning at 120 yrds with my 700 (Boone n Crocket edition), 140 gr Barnes Ballistic tip. Low through both lungs, busted the offside leg, and dropped right there. You will love what a pleasant caliber that is to shoot. I would bed it, trigger tune it, and enjoy it. My favorite rifle by far, my .300 WM comes out for moose and elk, but really I'm always tempted to stick with the 7-08.....I had to put a Leupold VX3 3.5-10 x 40 B&C reticle on mine, and after a bedding and tune at Corlanes it shoots some nice little groups...

I don't have many pics of it at the moment, but a closeup of the scope/action....it has a beautiful fluted barrel on it.

You won't be disappointed with that rifle, and if you are let me know and I'll take it off your hands for next to nothing, because that's what friends are for....
