19 lbs .. caught in front of the WAB Power Plant discharge in November 1987 or '88 We caught six or seven from 10 - 19 lbs that day. There were lots of big Pike in that lake at that time. Hope there are still a few left.

Biggest weighed would be 12 lbs and change. Biggest caught be 16 or so best guess. All summer time fish. Do not ice fish.

The Alberta record will come out of there .......... 2013 is the year ...............

In 2012 nothing over 20 - many, many in the teens

2011 was better - a few pretty massive pigglets .......

Check the fishingeeks vids on YouTube. Pretty sure they pull in a couple in the 30 range.

Fished Wab for the first time last weekend, Sat and Sunday. First fish ever from Wab was a healthy 17'2 lbs. Estimated to be around 38". The gf came with me Sunday and her first and only fish was a massive 41". Didn't have a scale but it was definitely a few pounds more than my 17 the day before, safe to say it was 20lbs. Pictures of both fish are posted on another forum. Sorry, had to get someone to help me post them there. Will get the picture posting thing figured out.

Didn't catch many, but the few we did catch were nice. Was pretty lucky, never moved from the first place I drillled holes.

Thats debatable

I know some places that could also produce a new alberta record, and they are not even close to Wab.

Out of Wab? I thought most of their huge pike are from Diefenbaker although they have caught some good 20 lbers out of Wab.
