Default Preserved Shiners

How long do those preserved shiners last. The ones that come in packs at Cabellas. Never used them before do they catch fish like walleye.?

I have used those packs before and I find they go sour quickly after your break the seal. They are also pricey and not as good, in my opinion, than a good old tub of fresh minnows.

They don't work, don't waste your money. I bought a large pack about a year ago and never caught a thing on them. Switched to frozen and haven't looked back. The preserved still look good after a year!

Parker's minnows are the best.

I find they tear off the hook easily and I've never had much luck with them. Salting your minnows does a fairly good job of preserving them to some degree.

I will also agree that they dotn work. Even in lakes up in northern ontario whereyou catch 200+ fish in a day on regular shiners. Put on some of those preserved ones, and the bite stops.
