Default Sturgeon River at Riverlot 56/Kingswood Park

Hey everyone!
I have heard the Sturgeon River has some poor fishing, and may not even have many fish at all, but I was wondering if the portion by Riverlot 56 natural area or Kingswood Park would possibly be a place to do some C&R?

If anyone has more information I'd greatly appreciate it, as I'm very curious. If you can't fish, that's cool, I'd like to do some birdwatching at least.
Thanks folks!

Default sturgeon

Hi there,

Don't believe anyone that there are not fish in the sturgeon. There are a ton of pike and some walleye. The section by riverlot 56 is fairly shallow, but head to the bridge by the Sturgeon Golf Course or the section by Sandpiper golf course and there is a ton.

Take care,

Mark

Hey Mark!

Thanks a lot for the information! I'd love to fish some pike and walleye, would love my first pike to be caught so close to my new home.

Thanks again!

For sure! I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to go out but I'll make a new thread about how it goes.
