Hot August weekend
A few pics from my weekend, I will also post the link to the album since there are 60 in it.

the usual pike bait.
first of a crapload of bait stealing goldeye hookup was maybe 1 in 10, they have worm stealing down to a science, note the surprised look when I actually got a hook into him!

a short run to the land of "warm or pay an extra 2 dollars a dozen beverages" its plus 35 degrees, of course I will take the warm ones silly woman! 
my tagging setup, rubber coat to keep them out of the sand

woke up in the middle of the night to a commotion, I thought it was raccoons trying to steal my cooler, turns out my trailer was being mobbed by a huge ball of bats, right out of an Alfred Hitchcock movie. when I opened the door one decided to check out the trailer, and joined me for the rest of the night. They may be silent hunters outdoors, but in a small trailer he sounded like a helicopter flying around.

my third of the weekend, a bit gimped but still beautiful to me
and the 4 footer I caught and tagged Wednesday evening
and my latest entry into the strangest thing Ive ever caught while fishing category is.... went up the hill to get cell service, so I brought my line in and left it hanging on my chair, came back to this bait stealing bugger that ate my minnow and managed to hook himself
no harm done except to his pride. saw another smaller one steal someone elses minnow from their bait and run away with it too.

I am betting thats the same snake that appeared out of nowhere when I turned to step onto the path, the one I taught a couple new words

that would be on the Monday I guess. was talking to the retired guy up the beach and watched a smaller snake steal one of the minnows he had laying on the ground as well, maybe they make a habit of it in that park. at least they werent rattlesnakes, if they were Id have had to cut my losses and my line instead of getting the hook back.
