"“We do not test for beer, because then everybody would fail,” said Joel McDearmon, chairman of the United States Freshwater Fishing Federation."

Stupid. This is why we need clearer distinctions between the term "sport" and one of it's subsets, "athletics". I'm not even sure curling makes the cut, but at least there is some semblance of physical coordination and learned skill. Ice fishing no more belongs in the Olympics than chess. They are both knowledge-based endeavours, or "sports", if you will.

Americans are the same as us. The problem is that the government is out of control and not responsible to the people.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

If you have traveled, you would realize, people are just people. We are pretty much the same everywhere.

They all dope, not sure why everyone needs to crucify LA.

He has done a lot of good.

I think people just get off seeing someone successful fall from grace.

It's tabloid trash.

I posted that article a few weeks ago and some of us beat it up. My partner knew there was a reason I was always bringing them in faster.

If you were ever overseas with them fighting in the same war same team you would understand better. Don't get me wrong there are some decent ones. The gene pool in the states is extremely limited.

Gene pool is limited? Hunh?

Perhaps it has something to do with the military preying on the poor and uneducated...

I guess you would never have anyone enlist out of a sense of duty. Just poor morons in the military?

Well one guy claims that americans are stupid, and another says that its just americans who join the military who are stupid. Since you are dissagreeing with the latter coment do you agree with the first?

Perhaps if the US fought a war over somthing worth fighting for, instead of these botched attempts to stimulate their economy, inteligent people would enlist out of a sense of duty. As it is it takes a real moron not to see through the BS and beleive that any of the major conflicts they've been involved in in recent times are worth getting killed for, so IMO one of these guys has to be right.
