Thanks guys, I appreciate it
How is the colour match in person ? it was a tough one to par - up.
Also - I didn't put eyelets on it to save the stock (metal eyelets can mark the wood). But the Suede backing on the stock cover should help.

No question about it, the man does superb work. A question for you 1899b: do you reload FTX ammo for your hammer? home rolled Leverevolution so to speak.

I do not. Currently saving my Remington brass to start reloading. May just pull the remaining Remington factory ammo to start reloading sooner. I am going to go with the Hornady 265 grain bullet to start however. Have read too many testimonials in regards to the FTX bullets not stabilizing properly in the older microgroove 1 in 38 twist barrels. What I have surmised from what most .444 owners with 1 in 38 barrels say who have tried is that the FTX style bullet is pretty much a 1 in 20 twist proposition only. I would rather not waste the powder or time to see for myself.
