Do you need a boat to fish Chain

I'm waiting for hard water....................it's driving me mad!!
It should be nice this weekend and the water has cooled wondering if its worth a try or just head to CVR. Boats away need hard water

Fishing at either end of Chain from the dams works just fine. Doesn't matter what you throw at them for bait they will bite it.
