International Fly Fishing Film Festival in Edm. Feb 11
The International Fly Fishing Film Festival ( IF4) is coming to Edmonton, AB February 11, 2012, hosted by Out Fly Fishing outfitters. The IF4 screening will be at the Metro Cinema at the Garneau (8712 109st Edmonton, AB) Doors open at 4:00, show starts at 4:30pm. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door.

Here is a brief description of what IF4 is all about :
"The International Fly Fishing Film Festival, IF4 for short, consists of a collection of short and feature length films produced by professional and amateur filmmakers from all corners of the globe, showcasing the passion, lifestyle and culture of fly fishing. Very interesting, will have to see if the wife will permit a night off from baby duty. I used to run a film festival down at the Metro. Nice venue.

These guys make a film that really gets into your head as a flyfisherman.
And remember this is coming from an old geezer.
The photographers and producers are a really cool bunch of dudes.

Oh and by the way if anyone lives closer to Red Deer than Edmonton there is a screening in Red Deer on Sunday Feb 12th. There is a link on the message board about the Red Deer screening as well if people want to be entered in that draw instead.

I'm sure you'll be impressed. There's some incredible cinematography and some unbelievable fish and destinations featured. Its a very enjoyable and entertaining evening. Makes me want to get out and travel to all the spots...and then the funding issues set in LOL

Yes I'm pretty sure it is going to Lethbridge as well. I can't remember the dates but Kelly Oikawa is the guy to contact about it down there. He's the one who is helping bring it down. Sorry I don't have his contact info but I know he is with the Fly Fishing club down there.
