Does seem like blasphemy not having a 303 in there yet.

I agree completely. Very interesting piece and very nicely upgraded to address the weak spots of the old Martini action. That said, at this price point the gun needs to have a much better aesthetic. It is too utilitarian for a rifle that will never be a utilitarian piece in modern use.

I agree the 303 would be interesting because it is Historically Correct. Would also like to see them in 7x64R, 9.3x74R and possibly a good all round modern cartridge that would expand the demand from every day hunters and sportsmen.

Default And

Perhaps a 38-55 chambered for the long brass and proper groove size NEF screwed this one up.

Recognizing that the US is the real market, 30-40 Krag is a logical introductory chambering.
Much as I like .303, there are a bunch of more widely appealing candidates for cartridge choice .
They have to sell well to survive in a dog eat dog market.
The Canadian market is a small one.
I would like to see a more elegant stock design too.

Good morning all.

We'll try to answer some questions and concerns:

Quote:
I wonder if they took into consideration a through hole for the passage of a cleaning rod.
The engineers tell us that a forthcoming 22lr version will include a through hole. However the entire action can be removed from the receiver allowing full access to either end of the barrel.

We're hearing a lot of feedback on calibers and the .303 seems to stand out as a popular one. We've spoken with the engineers and they assure us that the action will easily accept the .303 British cartridge. So the possibility is definitely there.

The engineers have also said that this rifle is very "gun smith friendly" and is very easy to modify and customize.

Have a great day!

Hey there Pioneer2!

I just got a reply from our engineers. We are using button rifling. I hope that answers your question.

Take care!

Well I hope you guys make a million bucks.

I've been lusting for a Martini for a couple years now, where I wouldn't have to refurb an antique or go through the hassles of rebuilding one. Please keep us posted!

Thank you for the well wishes! Not sure about a million bucks, but we really want to see other enthusiasts enjoy a quality modern martini!

Just trying to spread the love.
