For the Sako RTP, I do not know if the Optilocks work. Would need to look at the Sako website. The Optilock Ringmounts would be sweet for it if they mount the the Weaver bases on the RTP

I would agree with this..
The Ruger American is a great idea but the stock sucks otherwise it would move up a few notches.

especially! with the HHR reticle. (no duplex pls.)
- older 6x fixed scopes with fine X or target dot.

I share the views of both Ice Fishing Maniac and Buckhead who suggest going with a Sako 75. When they were introduced in late 1990's l bought one in 270 Win caliber stainless/synthetic and it was what one would call the 'pre lock' version. It has proven to be accurate and dependable and has taken its fair share of big game. Good luck.

Default Sako...w/ Warne

I had the same dilemma when I bought mine (back then it was just the T3, not T3x), and ended up with the Sako A7...have been super happy with it. Like you said, it just feels better, bolt is crazy smooth!

Rings...went with the Warne, awesome. Good luck and have fun...
