Default Higginson Group Powder Buy ?

I did one of these before so we'll see if there is enough interest to place an order.Need a couple people to total 24lbs for free shipping.I want an 8lb keg myself. One time Hazmat fee no matter 1 lb or 1000lbs.Loomis shipped and picked up.Check with Higginson to confirm they have your powder EMT myself and when order is large enough I'll put it on my MC and call each person for pickup.See how it goes if this is feasible.GST applicable and we'll all split the Hazmat fee.Red Deer is the delivery point.

I looked into a group by from Higginson a while back. They are well organized for such deals and will allow each person in the group to call in and order and each pay own purchase with a CC. Much easier than one paying the whole shot.

To a Red Deer residence. The fellow I spoke with said they have a new powder shipment coming in this week so what they don't have on the site they may have soon.I'll give this a week and see if it flies .Logistically it would be a nightmare everyone phoning Higginson splitting the Hazmat then retrieving their powder which will be bundled in the same box? This went well last time.

Not sure how the each pay group buy method would be a logistic nightmare. Higginson handles it all. Easy as pie.

You wanna hope all the people in your group buy show up with the cash or else you get stuck with their stuff and all on your CC. The way Higginson offers to do it is a lot easier and it ensures that all the buyers pay up in full before the order ships and you're not left holding the bag.

Default Check with

Higginson prices then add GST and we all split the $30 Hazmat fee to see if it's a good deal. I don't like paying $45-$50 a lb local or out of stock.

You are correct........I talked to Higginson's this AM and they don't mind people calling in and paying for their orders separately as long as there is one delivery point.Pay for your powder + GST and split the $30 Hazmat fee. Now to see if we can get a 24lb total.

I thought it was an awesome idea when I heard it.

Should be no prob to get a 24lb order. It's the best place (and way) to buy powder in Canada.

This is a great idea for some guys who are sitting on the fence. I did a group order last year with my friends and it went great. one thing to keep in mind is the 1lb stuff comes in a card board sleeve and the powder is in a plastic bag inside its not a big deal but some guys in my group buy had not seen that before and were a little surprised when they where expecting the traditional bottles or cans. when you buy stuff in the 8lb amounts powder is way cheaper h4831sc is 33.75 a lb when you break it down.

I'd definitely order 8 or 16 lbs.....but....you're too far away.

If there is anyone interested in a similar group buy and you reside east or NE of Edmonton let me know.

With Hummason, you don't get the bulk plastic bags of powder you do with Higginson.
Hummason was slightly cheaper but charges the hazmat iirc. It came out the same in the end when you order 25 lbs. But properly packaged.
