Default First 100 Straight - I Finally Did It

Well finally I got my first registered 100 straight, it took 7 years and thousands of targets but it's in the books now and my name will go up on a plaque at the Edmonton Gun Club. I have had numerous 98's and 99's but always managed a miss or two somewhere along the way.

Sunday on the final day of the Edmonton City Championship I nailed it 100 straight, that coupled with a 98 on Saturday gives me bragging rights and the singles title for the next year with a 198 x 200 total.

As is customary when you shoot your first registered 100 straight the boys get to shoot your hat and they ventilated my favorite straw hat with avengeance, but it was nice to watch

Congrats! That takes incredible focus and concentration. I went 25/25 in skeet once and I’m still giddy about that 100/100 is a whole other level.

Congrats!! that is an accomplishment!! Were you trembling on the last one?

I remember my first (lol) only 50. It was a league shoot. 16 yds and then back to 27, I was very worked up on the last clay. Flinched but didn't pull the trigger, then bore down and broke a chunk off. My team cheered, I didn't think they had even noticed as no one said anything while we were shooting.

Congrats on the 100, it's a great accomplishment.
I have been at my present club for 7 years, and have only had the pleasure of handing out three 25 straight patches.

It's a long standing tradition, that varies from club to club. When I started shooting skeet in the 80s we only shot hats for 100 straight, but some clubs shoot hats for 25 straight.

Huge congrats!
I'm happy when I go 20 straight. Lol
100th would have me shaking pretty bad. That takes incredible focus and calm nerves.
Congratulations on a stellar season.

If the wings are set and the landing gear down hanging over the decoy's they are pretty much done for funny after all these years when I know they are committed and make that last circle my heart really starts to pound, what a rush.

Default The Perfect Spot

I think I may have found the perfect spot to hang my shot up hat, it now resides with one of my other favorite trophies " Eddie The Elk " I see it every day when I park in the garage.

Default 100 straight

Congratulations, well done!! You should be very proud of that! Closest I ever got was 98/100, went 50 straight and then it started to get into my head and blew it up on the last 2 rounds. Pressure should have been off after the first miss but managed to drop another on the last round . Funny how the nerves and overthinking can get you! Never got that close again and haven't shot trap for many years now. Kind of miss it .

as somebody who has never been comfortable with my ability to hit moving targets with a shotgun that's a pretty impressive number. My very best is 18/25 and I thought that was pretty awesome. Much respect.
